The swimmers of Ortakçı Sports Club achieved significant rankings under the national flag at the 2024 Balkan Open Water Swimming Championship held in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The athletes, proudly representing our country, stepped onto the podium and won medals.

In the competitions held on July 28-29, Çağkan Demir Biçen placed 4th in the 1250-meter freestyle race, while Alperen Sinop took 5th place in the diving category. In the women’s 1250-meter freestyle race, Ece Erol finished in 5th place. In the 4x625-meter relay race, the team including Çağkan Demir Biçen finished second, while the team with Alperen Sinop and Ece Erol came in third.

Coach Emrah Gürel expressed great pride in watching his athletes perform under the national flag and seeing their achievements. He also thanked the management of Ortakçı Sports Club, highlighting the club’s important role in fostering a love for swimming and supporting children's development in İnegöl.

Club president Alican Ortakçı emphasized that this success was no coincidence, saying, "In İnegöl, our goal is to instill a love for swimming in children and train athletes who will compete in the Olympics. The success of our athletes is the result of the team's dedicated efforts. We will continue to work towards our goals."
